Privacy Policy for Subscribers:

The following policy applies to subscribers of our services:

To register for any of our services you will need to provide us with personal information to enable us to provide you with our services.The information you provide will be stored in our database. We use this information to provide the services to you, authenticate you when you log in, provide customer support, and operate, maintain, processing transactions with you, and improve the Services. We use your contact information on services you offer through us in order to provide support or send transactional communications for your product/service.


Research and development:

We are always looking for ways to make our Services smarter, faster, secure, and useful. We use information about how people use our services, for areas of improvement and develop new products and features that will benefit our users.


To communicate with you about the Services:

We use your contact information to send transactional communications via email and within the Services, including confirming your purchases, reminding you of your subscription balance running low, responding to your questions and requests, providing customer support, and sending you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages. We send you email notifications when others place orders for your services offered through us.


To market, promote and drive engagement with the Services:

We use your contact information and information about how you use the Services to send promotional communications that may be of specific interest to you. We also communicate with you about views on your services/products offered through us, new Services, product offers, and promotions. You can control whether you receive these communications as described below under "Opt-out of communications."


For safety and security:

We use information about you and your Service use to verify accounts and activity, to detect, prevent, and respond to potential or actual security incidents and to monitor and protect against other malicious, deceptive, fraudulent or illegal activity, including violations of our policies.


With your consent:

We use information about you where you have given us consent to do so for a specific purpose not listed above. For example, we may publish testimonials or featured customer stories to promote the Services, with your permission.


Sharing with third parties:

We do not share personal information with third parties unless required by law to do so, we share your service/product to help us market our Services.


Information Collected from E-mail:

When you send us personal information in an e-mail, we use the information you provide only to aid us in investigating or collection of the information you might request. In an effort to respond to your request, information you submit may be viewed by various people within Permanent Link. Once received, the information from your email is protected in accordance with law, (e.g. the Privacy Act and the Freedom of Information Act).


Account Information and Access:

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If your account is deactivated or disabled, all the information associated with your account is deleted. For example, information obtained through transactions within our services for products/services you offered through us.


You have the right to request a copy of your information, you can do this by logging on to our system and using settings available within the Services of your account. You have the ability to access and update certain information about you from within the Service. For example, you can access your profile information from your account and you can update your profile information within your profile settings and modify content that contains information about you using the editing tools associated with that content. If you want to update information that can not be done through the system, please contact support@permanentlink.co.za.


Deleting your Account:

If you no longer wish to use our Services, you may be able to deactivate your Services account. If you can deactivate your own account, that setting is available to you in your account settings. Otherwise, please contact support@permanentlink.co.za. to action this for you. Please make sure to read the Terms And Conditions - Cancelling Services regarding deactivating of accounts.


Opt out of communications:

You may opt out of receiving promotional communications from us by using the unsubscribe link within each email, updating your email preferences within your Service account settings menu, or by contacting support@permanentlink.co.za to have your contact information removed from our promotional email list. Even after you opt out from receiving promotional messages from us, you will continue to receive transactional messages from us regarding our Services.


Privacy Policy for Non-Subscribers:


Information Collected and Stored Automatically:

When you visit our web site, we automatically collect and store:

  1. The Internet Protocol (IP) address from which you are accessing our website
  2. The date and time of the visit
  3. The pages visited
  4. This information is collected for analytical purposes, how many visitors view our web site and what pages they view the most in order to improve our product offerings. We do not track or record information about identifiable individuals and their visits.

Terms Of Usage

This Policy forms part of the Agreement between the Client and Permanent Link and is binding on Clients using Permanent Link's services.


  1. General
    1. By contracting with Permanent Link for services, the Client agrees, without limitation to be bound by this Policy and the terms and conditions it contains, as well as any other additional terms, conditions, rules or policies which are displayed to the Client in connection with the Services.

    2. The purpose of this policy:
      1. ensure compliance with the relevant laws of the Republic
      2. outline to Clients and users of Permanent Link's service what activities and online behaviour are considered an unacceptable use of the service
      3. outline the consequences that may follow from undertaking those prohibited activities.

    3. This document contains a number of legal obligations which the Client needs to be familiar with. As such, Permanent Link encourages the Client to read this document thoroughly and direct any queries to support@permanentlink.co.za.

    4. Permanent Link respects the rights of Permanent Link's Clients and users of Permanent Link's services the freedom of speech and expression, access to information, belief, privacy, religion, opinion, human dignity.

  2. Unacceptable Use
    1. Permanent Link's services may only be used for lawful purposes and activities. Permanent Link prohibits any use of its Services including the transmission, storage and distribution of any material or content using Permanent Link's service that violates any law or regulation of the Republic. This includes, but is not limited to:

      1. Any violation of local and international laws prohibiting child pornography, obscenity, discrimination (including racial, gender or religious slurs) and hate speech, or speech designed to incite violence or hatred, or threats to cause bodily harm.

      2. Any activity designed to defame, abuse, stalk, harass or physically threaten any individual in the Republic or beyond its borders; including any attempt to link to, post, transmit or otherwise distribute any inappropriate or defamatory material.

      3. Any violation of Intellectual Property laws including materials protected by local and international copyright, trademarks and trade secrets.

      4. Any violation of another's right to privacy, including any effort to collect personal data of third parties without their consent.

      5. Any fraudulent activity whatsoever, including dubious financial practices, such as pyramid schemes; the impersonation of another client without their consent; or any attempt to enter into a transaction with Permanent Link on behalf of another client without their consent.

      6. Any violation of the exchange control laws of the Republic.

      7. Any activity that results in the sale or distribution of pirated or illegal software or material.

      8. Permanent Link prohibits Clients from using Permanent Link's service to host sexually explicit or pornographic material of any nature.

  3. Users Outside of South Africa
    1. Where any user resides outside of the Republic, permanently or temporarily, such user will be subject to the laws of the country in which s/he is currently resident and which apply to the user. On presentation of a legal order to do so, or under obligation through an order for mutual foreign legal assistance, Permanent Link will assist foreign law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in the investigation and prosecution of a crime committed using Permanent Link's resources, including the provisioning of all personal identifiable data.

  4. Protection of Minors
    1. Permanent Link prohibits Clients from using Permanent Link's service to harm or attempt to harm a minor, including, but not limited to, by hosting, possessing, disseminating, distributing or transmitting material that is unlawful, including child pornography and cyber bullying.

  5. Privacy and Confidentiality
    1. Permanent Link respects the privacy and confidentiality of Permanent Link's Clients and users of Permanent Link's service. Please review Permanent Link's Privacy Policy which details how Permanent Link collects and uses personal information gathered in the course of operating its Services.

  6. User Responsibilities
    1. Clients are responsible for any misuse of Permanent Link's services that occurs through the Client's account. It is the Client's responsibility to ensure that unauthorised persons do not gain access to or misuse Permanent Link's service using their accounts.

    2. Permanent Link urges Clients not to reply to unsolicited mail. Doing so remains the sole responsibility of the Client and Permanent Link cannot be held liable for the Client being placed on any bulk mailing lists as a result.

  7. Complaints Procedure
    1. Complaints relating to the violation of this policy should be submitted in writing to complaints@permanentlink.co.za. Complaints must be direct and state the nature of the problem, and its connection to Permanent Link's services.

  8. In Breach of the Policy
    1. Upon receipt of a complaint, or having become aware of an incident, Permanent Link may, exercise any of the following steps:
      1. In the case of Clients, warn the Client, suspend or terminate Client account and services completely

      2. In all cases, charge the offending parties for administrative costs as well as for machine and human time lost due to the incident

      3. Assist other networks or website administrators in investigating credible suspicions of any activity listed in this policy
      4. Introduce civil or criminal proceedings

      5. Make available the user's details to law enforcement agencies

    2. This policy applies to and will be enforced for intended and unintended prohibited usage.

  9. Reservation and Non Waiver of Rights
    1. Permanent Link reserves the right to amend or alter this policy at any time, and without notice to the Client.

    2. Permanent Link reserves the right to take action against any individuals, companies or organisations that violate the policy, or engage in any illegal or unlawful activity while accessing Permanent Link's services, to the fullest extent of the law.

    3. Permanent Link reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to act against other types of abuse not listed in this document and to investigate or prevent illegal activities being committed through Permanent Link's services.

    4. Permanent Link does not waive its right to enforcement of this policy at any time, or prejudice its right to take subsequent action, should Permanent Link fail, neglect or elect not to enforce a breach of the policy at any time.

Terms and Conditions

We have tried to include everything that we think is appropriate here. Occasionally there are some things that we add to this page. Please be sure to visit this page on a regular basis if you wish to see the latest Terms and Conditions. If you are a Client, we will also try to keep you inform of such changes via email or cellphone.

You will receive computer generated invoices for all services rendered by Permanent Link. All computer generated invoices will be sent to you via electronic means. All your computer generated invoices will be made available via the Billing section in your p-Mail.

Paying for Services

To use or pay for ours services you need to top-up your Permanent Link Wallet via a direct deposit or using a debit/credit card. All services rendered will deduct from your Permanent Link Wallet. Therefore, ensure that you have enough funds in your wallet in order to make use of our services. You can top-up your Permanet Link Wallet at anytime.


Cancelling Services

You can cancel the services at anytime, however, please make sure you have used up all your available balance before cancelling the service. If you do cancel with funds still available, no refunds will be made.
